From May 17th to 20th, 2025, the 2025 Member Conference and the 11th Fourth Council Meeting of the Belt Conveyor Branch of the China Heavy Machinery Industry Association, with the theme of "Innovative Future of Conveying Hope", were successfully held in Yuanping City, Shanxi Province. This grand event attracted nearly 300 member representatives, industry experts, and scholars from all over the country, who gathered together to discuss the development trends and innovative paths of the belt conveyor industry, and provide suggestions for the prosperity and progress of the industry.

Board meeting: Consolidate consensus and seek common development

On the afternoon of May 17th, the Fourth Meeting of the Eleventh Board of Directors of the Belt Conveyor Branch was held first. The meeting first conducted a comprehensive summary of the work for 2024. The directors carefully reviewed the 'work report' and 'financial work report'. Reviewed the achievements of the industry in technological innovation, market expansion, and membership services in 2024, and conducted in-depth analysis of existing problems, providing direction for future work.

The meeting also reviewed the list of new joining units in 2025 and announced the list of retiring units in 2025.

During the council proposal discussion session, the attending representatives actively spoke on hot issues related to industry development and put forward multiple constructive opinions and suggestions, covering various aspects such as technological innovation cooperation, market expansion strategies, and improvement of industry standards.

Finally, Wang Jisheng, Honorary President of the China Heavy Machinery Industry Association, made a concluding speech and highly praised the development of the Belt Association and the work of the Secretariat. He hoped that the belt conveyor industry would seize opportunities, meet challenges, further strengthen technological innovation, improve product quality, and promote sustainable development of the industry. At the same time, we hope that the branch will continue to play a leading role and contribute to the high-quality development of China's heavy machinery industry.

Deputy Secretary General Zhang Yanjun also commented on the association's activities, affirmed the effectiveness of the branch's work, and drew a satisfactory conclusion to the council meeting.

Member Conference: Sound the Strong Voice of Development

On the morning of May 18th, the general meeting of members officially kicked off with the solemn national anthem. The conference was chaired by Zhang Rongjian, Secretary General of the Belt Conveyor Branch.

Zhang Weihua, Deputy Mayor of Yuanping City, delivered a passionate speech. He first expressed sincere welcome on behalf of the Yuanping Municipal Party Committee and Government to the attending representatives. He stated that Yuanping City will continue to support the development of the belt conveyor industry, and create better development conditions for enterprises through optimizing the business environment, strengthening policy support, and deepening industry university research cooperation. At the same time, he also hopes that the attending representatives and experts and scholars can fully utilize the opportunity of this conference to strengthen exchanges and cooperation, and jointly promote technological innovation and industrial upgrading in the belt conveyor industry.

Yang Zhixin, Chairman of Shanxi Dongchang Industrial Co., Ltd., stated that the conference held in Yuanping City is not only a recognition of Shanxi Dongchang Industrial Co., Ltd., but also a recognition of the belt conveyor industry in Yuanping City. Li Ping, Chairman of the Belt Conveyor Branch, presented the 2024 work report of the Belt Conveyor Branch. The report is rich in content and highlights key points, divided into three parts: the first part deeply analyzes the current development status and trends of the belt conveyor industry, showcases and shares the innovative development achievements of some enterprises in the industry, and provides valuable industry information and reference experience for the attending representatives; The second part briefly reviewed the work of the 2024 branch, summarized the achievements and problems of the branch in the past year, and provided reference for future work; The third part provides a detailed arrangement of the key work of the branch in 2025, clarifying the work goals and tasks, and pointing out the direction for the future development of the branch.

Yang Jun, Executive Deputy Secretary General of the Branch, presented the 2024 financial work report of the Belt Conveyor Branch. With a rigorous attitude and detailed data, he reported the financial status of the Branch to all representatives, enhancing the transparency and credibility of the Branch's work.

Jing Xiaobo, Executive Chairman of the China Heavy Machinery Industry Association, presented a thank-you letter to Li Ping, Chairman of the Belt Conveyor Branch, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development of the Heavy Machinery Association.

Vice Chairman Wu Zhenghua announced the list of units that will withdraw from the Belt Conveyor Branch in 2025.

Zhang Yanjun, Deputy Secretary General of China Heavy Machinery Industry Association, announced the decision to absorb new member units in 2025 and presided over the awarding ceremony for 26 new member units. A group of enterprises with strength and development potential officially joined the branch, injecting new vitality and strength into the branch.

Wang Jisheng, Honorary President of the China Heavy Machinery Association, delivered a report titled "Development Situation and Response Strategies of the Transportation Machinery Industry" at the conference. He deeply analyzed the opportunities and challenges faced by the transportation machinery industry, and proposed industry development suggestions such as focusing on national strategies, rebuilding the industrial chain, strengthening AI empowerment, exploring international markets, emphasizing specialization, refinement, novelty, strengthening mutual benefit and coordination, creating a good market environment, expanding industry cultivation and agglomeration effects, and expanding the industry cake.

Liang Dong, Chief Representative of the Beijing Representative Office of the International Copper Association, gave a report titled "Current Status and Trends of Copper Industry Development", providing new perspectives and ideas for the development of the belt conveyor industry from the perspective of the copper industry, and broadening the knowledge and vision of the attending representatives.

The special report on the afternoon of May 18th was exciting. Under the leadership of Yang Jun, Deputy Secretary General of the branch, five experts from different fields gave special reports and shared their research results and practical experience.

Yin Renqiang, Chief Engineer of Shanxi Dongchang Industrial Co., Ltd., provided a detailed introduction to the company's basic situation and development history, showcasing its technological strength and innovative achievements in the field of belt conveyors;

Professor Song Weigang from Northeastern University conducted an in-depth discussion on the concept, determination method, and main results of the rolling resistance of belt conveyors, analyzing the impact of rolling resistance on the performance of belt conveyors. This brought cutting-edge academic research results and technological application prospects to the attending representatives; Suggestions for optimizing design and operation have strong practical guidance significance;

Wu Mingde, General Manager of Harbin Bearing Group Co., Ltd., shared a report on "Technological Breakthrough and Ecological Co construction from the Cradle of China's Bearing Industry to the Conveyor Industry", elaborating on the important role and development potential of bearing technology in the conveyor industry, as well as how to achieve industry ecological co construction and sharing through technological innovation;

Han Qiang, Marketing Director of Qingdao Bairuifu Rubber and Plastic Co., Ltd., introduced the advanced concepts and practical experience of the enterprise as an expert in low-carbon intelligent conveying services for bulk materials, providing useful references for the low-carbon development and intelligent transformation of the belt conveyor industry;

Lang Xueliang, Deputy General Manager of Dalian Keduo Hydraulic Transmission Technology Co., Ltd., gave an in-depth explanation on the application and promotion of valve controlled extended charging limited torque hydraulic couplings, demonstrating the advantages and application cases of this technology in improving the performance and reliability of conveyors.

The attending representatives gained important information and inspiration from these thematic reports, providing new ideas and directions for the innovative development of enterprises and the technological progress of the industry.

On the morning of May 19th, the attending representatives visited and exchanged ideas at the exhibition halls of Shanxi Dongchang Industrial Co., Ltd. and Yuanping Coal Machinery Association. At Shanxi Dongchang Industrial Co., Ltd., representatives gained a deeper understanding of the company's production process, technological research and development, and product application, and gained a more intuitive understanding of the company's innovative achievements and development models in the field of belt conveyors; At the exhibition hall of the Original Flat Coal Machinery Association, visitors gained a comprehensive understanding of the development history and achievements of the industry by visiting various exhibits and display materials, further deepening their understanding of the application and importance of the belt conveyor industry in coal transportation and other fields.
